Data Carving and Recovery

Data Carving and Recovery is a computer forensics technique used to extract valuable data from a corrupted or damaged digital device. It is done by searching file system content and manually decrypting, reconstructing and extracting bits of data from computer memory or storage media. Data Carving and Recovery is important and useful as it can recover lost or deleted images, documents, videos and other multimedia files. It can also be used to extract digital evidence to help in criminal investigations or other legal proceedings. In addition, Data Carving and Recovery can be used to recover data from damaged or corrupted hard drives, memory cards or other digital media.
