Codis
Codis is a database system used by law enforcement agencies that combines data from federal, state, and local agencies to facilitate information exchange between the different jurisdictions. The system provides a platform for gathering and sharing criminal justice data, such as criminal records, sex offender information, and Missing Persons records. By consolidating this data in one place, Codis allows current and potential criminal justice partners to quickly identify individuals, track crimes, and efficiently investigate cases. With the increased sharing of information, Codis has become an essential tool used by law enforcement agencies to investigate and prevent crime.
