Photochemistry
Photochemistry is the study of chemical reactions which are initiated by absorption of light. It is used to explain the behavior of molecules and their reactions when they interact with light. It plays an important role in many areas of science, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, and environmental science. Photochemistry is used to study the structure of molecules, their properties and the mechanisms by which they interact with light. It can also be used to understand and control chemical processes, such as photosynthesis, drug design and even the aging process.
