Pathophysiology
Pathophysiology is the study of abnormal changes in body function that cause or are caused by disease. It helps us to understand how diseases disrupt the body’s normal functioning, and how they can be treated or prevented. It is significant in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, by giving insight into the underlying cause of the disease, and the likely outcomes of different treatments. Pathophysiology also helps in developing effective public health strategies for the prevention and management of diseases. Additionally, it helps in the understanding of normal physiology and the development of new medical treatments.
