Nervous System
The nervous system is the body’s control and communication network. It is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. It sends, receives, and interprets information from all parts of the body, helping the body to respond to its environment. The nervous system is essential for survival and is involved in virtually all bodily functions, from breathing and digestion to thinking, learning, and memory. Abnormalities in the nervous system can lead to a wide range of medical conditions affecting a person's ability to move, think, feel, and remember. A better understanding of the nervous system is critical for developing more effective therapies to treat neurological disorders.
