Immunofluorescence & Staining

Immunofluorescence and staining are two techniques used in medical research to visualise particular proteins, cells, or molecules in a sample. Immunofluorescence is a procedure which uses fluorescent antibodies to identify and visualise specific targets, such as cellular proteins, within a sample. Staining is a method which allows researchers to observe biological molecules, like proteins and lipids, in order to identify if they are present and in what quantities. Together, these techniques are invaluable tools for medical researchers to accurately measure the expressions of proteins, which can help in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of many diseases.
