Cytoskeletal Dynamics
The cytoskeleton is a complex network of proteins and filaments inside cells that gives them shape, structure and stability, and enables them to move and interact with the environment. It also helps regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell division, differentiation and movement. Its dynamics are essential for normal functioning of cells and their ability to respond to signals from their environment. It is also essential for many diseases, including cancer, and for understanding how cells communicate with each other. Cytoskeletal dynamics research focuses on understanding how the components of the cytoskeleton work together to create cellular movements, division, and differentiation. This knowledge can then be used to develop treatments for diseases and disorders involving the cytoskeleton.
