Cystoscopy

Cystoscopy is a medical procedure in which a doctor uses a thin, lighted instrument called a cystoscope to view and examine the internal structures of the bladder and urethra. It is used to detect and diagnose urinary tract problems such as bladder and kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and bladder cancer. It can also be used to look for the cause of blood in the urine, frequent or painful urination, bladder weakness, or other urinary problems. Cystoscopy has been an invaluable tool for diagnosing and treating urinary tract conditions that might otherwise go undetected.
