Cells and Organelles
Cells are the building blocks of life, and every living thing is made up of one or more of these microscopic units. Organelles are the specialized structures within a cell that help with its function. A cell organelle is like a tiny factory that produces energy, organizes nutrients, and removes waste from the cell. This allows the cell to perform its particular job in the body, whether it’s making up bone or muscle cells, or helping to digest food. Understanding the structure and function of cells and organelles is essential for understanding how organisms work, and for developing treatments for disease.
