Bioenergetics
Bioenergetics studies the biochemical pathways that are used to generate chemical energy, convert it into a form that can be used by cells, and utilize this energy in cellular processes. It investigates the chemical reactions that are involved in the metabolic processes, and how these reactions contribute to the functioning of the cells. Bioenergetics is significant in understanding the fundamental processes of life, and its findings can be used to develop treatments for metabolic diseases and aid in the development of new drugs. It is also important for exploring the possibilities to increase efficiency of metabolic pathways, which would be beneficial for food production and energy-producing technologies.

Energy conservation is not about making limited resources last as long as they can. Most of our energy use comes from fossil fuels like petroleum and coal that provide electricity and gas to power our growing energy needs. These resources are non-renewable which means that we will eventually run out. Conserving energy helps to conserve resources.
