Motor Deficiencies in ADHD

Motor deficiencies in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) refer to the underdevelopment of physical abilities in children that have been diagnosed with the disorder. These deficiencies range from impaired motor coordination and balance to problems with fine motor functions. They can lead to issues with physical activities, writing, and other daily tasks. Through early detection and intervention, these motor impairments can be improved and managed, allowing for better functioning and quality of life for those with ADHD. Treatment may involve therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications to help improve motor skills. Understanding the motor deficits associated with ADHD is important for providing an effective plan of care to those with the disorder.
