ADHD Symptoms
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurological disorder that affects individuals’ ability to concentrate, maintain focus, and control impulses. Common symptoms of ADHD include difficulty paying attention, excessive talking, poor organization skills, and trouble controlling emotions. ADHD can have serious effects on social, academic, and vocational functioning. Early diagnosis and treatment of the disorder can help lessen the symptoms, however, appropriate treatments may vary depending on the individual affected. ADHD is the most commonly diagnosed neurobehavioral disorder of childhood, affecting approximately 8-12 percent of school-aged children.
