Adhd Prevalence
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder that affects millions of children and adults around the world. It is characterized by difficulty paying attention, difficulty controlling impulses, and hyperactivity. ADHD is one of the most commonly diagnosed mental health conditions in the United States, affecting approximately 11 percent of school-aged children and 4.4 percent of adults. It is also one of the most commonly diagnosed conditions among college students. With proper diagnosis and treatment, individuals living with ADHD can learn to manage their symptoms and lead productive lives. Treatment for ADHD may include medication, therapy, lifestyle modifications, or a combination of all three.
