Sexual Addiction
Sexual addiction is a condition where an individual engages in persistent, escalating patterns of sexual behaviors and activities despite negative consequences. It is also known as hypersexual disorder or compulsive sexual behavior. People with sexual addiction often struggle to control their sexual impulses or may engage in behaviors that are harmful or risky. Some common behaviors include compulsive masturbation, pornography use, multiple affairs, and frequenting of sex workers. If left untreated, sexual addiction can lead to significant stress, relationship problems, health issues, and financial difficulties. Treatment approaches vary and may include group therapy, psychotherapy, and medications to manage urge control.
