Psychoses, Alcoholic

Psychoses, Alcoholic is a term used to describe a group of mental health conditions which are related to misuse or abuse of alcohol. This group of disorders is marked by changes in behavior, thinking and memory due to the effects of long-term alcohol misuse. Symptoms can include a lack of impulse control, disturbances in behavior, delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thinking. Treatment for this condition is directed towards improving cognitive functioning and reducing alcohol intake.
