Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is an infectious disease caused by bacteria from the Borrelia family, typically transmitted by the bite of an infected deer tick. Symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, fatigue, joint pain, and rashes. If left untreated, Lyme disease can lead to more serious health problems, such as neurological and cardiac issues. Diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease usually involve antibiotics. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent long-term complications and improve the patient’s overall quality of life.
