Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a common condition characterized by chronic widespread pain, fatigue, and other symptoms. It affects over 10 million people in the US alone and is the most common musculoskeletal condition worldwide. The cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, but it involves changes in the way your body processes pain signals. Symptoms can include widespread pain throughout the body, fatigue, sleep issues, joint stiffness, and difficulties with thinking, memory, and concentration. Treatment for fibromyalgia involves medications, lifestyle changes, and physical therapy, aiming to help reduce pain levels, improve quality of life, and increase overall functioning.
