Eating Disorders
Eating disorders are psychiatric conditions where someone has a disturbed relationship with food that impairs their mental and physical health. They include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other less common conditions. They can cause serious medical and psychological problems, such as infertility, malnutrition, and depression. Treatments may involve therapy, medication, and nutrition education. Eating disorders are important to recognize and treat to improve the overall health and well-being of those affected.
