Tractography
Tractography is a powerful imaging technique used to map the white matter pathways in the brain. It helps scientists visualize the flow of information within the brain, by tracking the nerve fibers (axons) that connect different brain regions. It is an important tool for understanding the human brain and its development, as well as for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions. Tractography also has applications in neuroscience research, helping to pinpoint specific circuits involved in different behaviors, emotions and processes. It is also used in neuropsychology to study the effects of traumatic brain injury, stroke and other neurological diseases.
